Paper Spheres

We made a project for cylinders so I wanted to make something for spheres. I googled and could not find anything arts and craftsy for a sphere until I came across these amazing paper people! I printed their template and cut it out.

I tried weaving!

I tried really hard! I watched the video that was made for the hot air balloon and everything!

Pinterest! I should have gone there first! I found this lovely little dodecahedron-ish shape that doesn't even require tape! Or staples! This is huge in a classroom that goes through tape like water! Here is the
template for the super cute paper 3D ball!

I used white card stock for my kiddos and I used colored paper. They loved everything about it except cutting! I loved how the pieces fit together, so easy! Try it out if you need a end of spheres activity!

Glue Review

We have come to the end of surface area and volume of cylinders, cones, and spheres! Phew! It is one of my favorite things to teach because of all the projects and art that you can do with it! I thought I would share one of the activities I use to review all of the figures.

I have found that you have to use trickery to get middle school kids to practice. Scissors and glue are my friends! Give them problems to cut and glue to a piece of paper and they will work so hard! It's like magic glue! Give them a worksheet and they sit and stare at it! Just another middle school mystery! You can download this freebie from my TpT store!
